The Great Debate

To Wiki or not to Wiki?

There has been much discussion lately regarding the use of Wikipedia as a resource for research. Most of the faculty and librarians seem to take the view that Wikipedia is a bad thing - an untamed resource that holds no valid authority on what is being posted. But, than there are those that feel Wikipedia is a hub of intellectual collaboration. Isn't academia a forum to exchange ideas and intellectual thought? Is Wikipedia really a bad thing?
